Strategy codes

LS Long / short — runs funds with long/short in the name
PC Private credit — credit, lending or debt funds
DD Distressed — distressed, turnaround or restructuring funds
SS Special situations — special-situations funds
LO Long only — manages mutual funds / registered investment companies

Tags come from SEC fund types and fund names, so they're a floor, not a ceiling — a fund called "XYZ Partners III" carries no signal. Full strategy detail lives in each firm's ADV brochure.

Your LinkedIn contacts

Who do you already know at these firms? Both routes open LinkedIn as you — connection-degree visibility is personal to each account, so nothing here is shared or scraped.

Applies to every search link (row icons, firm drawer, sweep). Company-page links (↗) always show all employees — LinkedIn can't degree-filter those.

One link per firm, pre-filtered to the degrees chosen above. Works on the free LinkedIn plan.

Upload the CSV as an Account List in Sales Navigator (max 1,000 firms per list), then run a Lead search with Connection = 1st / 2nd degree to see everyone you know across the whole batch.

Your 1st-degree network

No connections uploaded yet.

Fills the 1st° column with how many of your own LinkedIn connections work at each firm (matched by company name); open a firm to see their names. Uses LinkedIn's official data export — nothing is scraped, and your upload is visible only to your login. ·

  1. On LinkedIn (desktop browser), click your photo, then Settings & Privacy.
  2. Open Data privacy → Get a copy of your data.
  3. Choose "Want something in particular?", tick Connections only, and press Request archive.
  4. LinkedIn emails you a download link, usually within about 10 minutes. Download the ZIP and unzip it — inside is Connections.csv.
  5. Upload that file here. Re-upload whenever you like — each upload replaces the previous one. Monthly keeps the column fresh.

Some connections hide their email address in exports — that's fine, the app only uses name, company, position and profile link.
